Meet The Team



Joel Denton's family has lived in Oak Cliff for three generations.  Denton began brewing in his garage in 2007. After a few batches, he began entering competitions and winning them–and realized brewing beer was what he was born to do. Since 2015, he's been working to outfit a space in the historic Tyler Station with a 30-barrel brew house and taproom with an additional three-barrel pilot system for experimental onsite releases.  



Todd Holder, Director of Brewing Operations

Todd Holder, brings over a decade of brewing experience to the team. Before joining Oak Cliff Brewing Co., Todd served as Head Brewer at Prairie Artisan Ales for 4 years. He then spent time helping launch a brewery in Bangalore, India. In the brewing industry, Todd is well-known for his Imperial Stouts and other barrel-aged specialties. When it comes to the beer, Holder says nothing is off limits.



Jacob Contreras, Director of Sales

Jacob Contreras brings 13 years of experience in the alcohol beverage industry, with a unique balance of work with a major distributor and a local brewery. Jacob grew up in Lubbock, TX, and quickly made his way to Downtown and South Dallas. He loves the camaraderie of the DFW brewing community, and his relationships are deeply rooted in Dallas.
